Can I extend my Data room after expiry?

Yes. Right2Data VDR’s subscriptions can be extended at any time by contacting the Right2Data support team or allocated account manager. Additional storage, users and subscription periods can also be added based on your project requirements.

How many days before the Data is completely deleted from the server?

Once a Data Room subscription expires, the data is retained for 15 days, allowing administrators sufficient time to renew the subscription or export the required information. After 15 days, the data is permanently deleted from the servers following our data retention policy. If the administrator deletes the data themselves, the system generates a data deletion certificate on successful data room deletion. The entire data room can also be archived if required at a certain cost.

Can anyone with a link enter the Data Room?

No. Only authorised users who are invited by the administrator can access the Data Room. Additional security measures such as OTP authentication, Dynamic Watermarking, Geo-fencing, geotagging and permission controls further restrict unauthorised access.

What level of support does Right2Data provide?

Right2Data VDR provides 24×7×365 Email and Chat support in English and Hindi, along with Phone and WhatsApp chat/Call support from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM IST. Unlike Google Drive or OneDrive, Right2Data VDR is purpose-built for confidential transactions such as M&A, Due Diligence, IPOs and CIRP. What are the Indian data compliance laws? Is data stored in India?

Yes, by default, Right2Data VDR is hosted on Microsoft Azure servers in Chennai, India. The platform is designed to support organisations in meeting the requirements of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, RBI guidelines, and IBBI processes, wherever applicable, with ISO 27001 and VAPT certificates. Dedicated hosting in other regions can also be provided based on customer requirements.

Can multiple people upload data to the Data room?

Yes. Multiple authorised users (Co-Admins) can upload documents simultaneously, subject to the permissions assigned by the administrator. The Data room allows up to 5 co-admins to be added to the data room.

Does Right2Data support bulk uploads?

Yes, it does support Bulk Zip files upload.

Can I organise documents using folders?

Yes. Right2Data VDR allows administrators to create structured folder hierarchies and organise documents for easy navigation and faster due diligence.

Does Right2Data support Q&A workflows?

Yes. Right2Data includes a dedicated Q&A module that allows participants to securely raise, manage and respond to queries within the Data Room. All Q&A communications are end-to-end encrypted to ensure confidentiality. The administrator can choose between Private and Public Q&A modes. In Private Q&A, questions and responses are visible only to the administrator and the user who raised the query. In Public Q&A, all authorised users within the Data Room can view the questions, responses and related updates, promoting transparency and reducing duplicate queries.

Can users access AutoCAD files?

Right2Data supports AutoCAD file formats, making it suitable for infrastructure, engineering, manufacturing and real estate projects. The Right2Data VDR supports the following file formats for upload and download, but they cannot be viewed within the platform.

Can I track user activity?

Yes. Administrators can monitor all user activities, including document views, downloads, prints, login history, time spent on files and user interactions. The admin can download all the activities using the audit trail feature.

Can I set expiry dates for access?

The admin can set the live date and expiry date for the data room.

Does Right2Data support group permissions?

Yes. Administrators can create user groups and assign permissions in bulk to simplify user management. The admin can also customise the terms and conditions for each group viewing the data.
